STYLE GUIDE

Love our style but unsure what you’re after? Need help putting together an outfit? You've come to the right place! Achieving amazing style is easier than you think. Here's some of our hottest styling tips:

1. GET INSPIRED!

Fill up your newsfeed with amazing accounts in a style you love! Not only will you get daily outfit inspiration, you may even discover a new small business or two! Following some Instagram Brand Rep accounts will give you a chance to see clothing on real life kids. You'll get to see how it fits and what to wear it with! You'll also be the first to know about sales and specials too!

2. KEEP IT SIMPLE

If you feel you're still figuring out your style then it's best to stick to the rule of "less is more". Stay away from bold patterns and prints and stick to plain, colours and textures. Stock up on some classic pieces that won't date before you try to develop a more personal style. If you are styling a bold pattern or print, pair it with a solid but similar colour to ensure it wont clash.

3. DRESS FOR PRACTICALITY

Kids will be kids, boys will be boys and we want nothing more than for them to be just that, BOYS! When buying a new outfit, keep in mind how it may restrict their movement and play. Look for well fitted clothing in soft and stretchy fabrics so they won't be held back! Comfy can be cool!

Choose colours the will suit your child's skin tone and their hair colour too! If you're unsure, stick to colours that you already know and love. Dark colours may be more practical for messy babies and toddlers while lighter shades will have your older child looking crisp and fresh!

4. GET THE RIGHT SIZE

You could own one of the trendiest outfits ever, but if it doesn't fit well, it won't look good. Before buying, check the product images to see photos of the items worn by real kids. Take note of the size and height of the models and how the clothing sits on each one. Flat lay photos are great for showing detail but don't show you how an item wears. Use size charts to get the best fit.

5. MIX AND MATCH

Make the most of your child's wardrobe by purchasing items that can be easily mixed and matched with each other! For each season, choose only a few colours and base your whole wardrobe off these tones. Rather than having a pair of pants that will only match with one shirt, you'll have endless possibilities and outfit combinations. This means you don't have to spend big to have lots of variety!

6. BUY GOOD BASICS

You cant beat good basics! They are an essential part of any wardrobe. Basic staples like solid black and white tees, plain jeans and pants will give you a great base when styling that "special" piece. Good wardrobe staples will be worn daily so it's important to take quality into consideration. Buy the best quality basics that you can afford. They can easily be dressed up or down depending what you wear them with!

7. ACCESSORISE

Once you've sorted a good basics range and paired them with some mix and match items, the only thing left to do is accessorise! Chucking on a cap and sliding on some kicks will take any "tee and pants" combo into a complete outfit! There's no need to have a million pairs of shoes and a cap for each day of the year. Again, getting one or two plain coloured shoes and hats will ensure they can be effortlessly paired with your whole wardrobe!

Don't forget, your outfit is never complete without a smile!
